ABOUT US

In 1975, Vimar Machinery was founded by Maurice Roden. Maurice carried Vactor, bringing on more brands such as Elgin as the years went on and the business grew. In 1979, Maurice had his sons, Michael and Garth, join the company, where in 1995, they bought the business and changed Vimar’s name to what we know today, Vimar Equipment. 

In 2010, Todd Hystad bought into the company and partnered with the two brothers. The company currently is in Burnaby, British Columbia, and is home to 20 employees. In 2013, Vimar established True North Emergency and True North Environmental in the Pacific Northwest, providing and equipment and services with locations in Marysville, WA and Hillsboro, OR.

Todd Hystad, President of Vimar Equipment, and Doug McIlhargey, Vice-President of Vimar Equipment, value their mission of Honesty, Integrity, and Service as a milestone and will continue to practice it as long as Vimar Equipment stands.
